I went out last night to watch the storms roll in. Of course I took my camera and tripod with me because I could tell before I left it was going to be quite a light show. Here's what I got:

We had a couple weeks where there were thunderstorms almost every day. It's one of my favorite times of year! Here are some photographs I took while chasing the storms.

It's difficult to get a good photograph of lightning due to it's unpredictability. Last night I was monitoring the local radar and saw this isolated thunderstorm approaching my house so I decided to go set up my gear on top of a hill just outside of town. I was very excited when I released the shutter on my camera and watched the following image pop onto my display!
